Now damn it, which one of you screamed “Lady Gaga” in the middle of Madonna’s speech last night?

It’s actually really sad that anyone would. Gaga’s fans already get a bad rap for being hypocritical bullies, but we also take heat for being immature and this certainly isn’t helping matters. Like, could we really just not let Madonna have her moment? She was accepting an award for a tour she worked her ass off to put together and it’s completely unfair and childish beyond the telling of it that we can’t just let her accept a trophy for something she earned because she shaded Gaga’s song 97 fucking years ago. Everyone really needs to get over themselves. Maybe try seeing things from Madonna’s perspective? She’s been working nonstop for 30 years and someone who has been in mainstream pop culture for only 5 is seeing success greater than she has by using the same shticks and dogmas. If you were her I’m sure you would feel disheartened and a little bit envious too, but as fans of Gaga a lot of us aren’t only those things already, but we also feel very self-deserving and act like children, and we can’t just enjoy good music without having to fight a war over the people singing it.

It’s literally a seven second video of someone screaming “Lady Gaga”. It ain’t that serious, no one cares, no one was hurt, and Madonna didn’t even hear it.
